Zellige - Fashion Design

Zellige - Fashion Design

OVERVIEW

Zellige is inspired by the textures, colors, and decorative richness of Moroccan culture, combined with the delicacy of the coquette aesthetic. The project explores a warm, natural, and elegant visual language, drawing from traditional zellige tiles, ornamental details, and soft, feminine elements.

DEVELOPMENT

My role was to translate this inspiration into a cohesive fashion design project through moodboards, color palettes, and the development of a series of looks. I explored warm earthy tones, organic textures, and decorative details, creating silhouettes that balance structure and softness. The designs reinterpret Moroccan motifs through contemporary shapes, delicate draping, layered fabrics, and refined embellishments.

PROCESS

The project began with hand-drawn sketches, which I later developed and colored digitally using Procreate. I also created technical drawings for each look with Adobe Illustrator, refining proportions, details, and construction. Through moodboard research and design experimentation, I developed a collection that combined visual storytelling with technical precision.

OUTCOME

Zellige strengthened my ability to transform cultural references into contemporary fashion concepts. The project enhanced my skills in fashion illustration, digital rendering, and technical drawing, while allowing me to create a cohesive collection with a strong identity and carefully considered details.
