OVERVIEW
Waterscape draws inspiration from the fluidity and movement of water, marine life, and ocean textures. Waves, foam, sunlight reflections, iridescent jellyfish, coral formations, and mystical sirens informed the visual and material direction, lending natural elements with fantastical marine imagery.
DEVELOPMENT
My role was to translate this inspiration into a cohesive fashion graphic project. I defined the visual language through moodboard, color palette, texture exploration, and the creation of five distinct looks. Each silhouette reflects not only the movement of water but also the forms and characteristics of marine life—such as octopuses, jellyfish, sirens, shells, and pearls—through flowing drapes, rouches, and layered details that embody elegance and fluidity.
PROCESS
The project combined hand-drawn sketches with digital execution in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. I developed moodboard, colorboard, and textureboard, then created technical drawings for each look, iterating designs with attention to composition, materials, and visual storytelling. Collaboration with peers and guidance from tutors allowed me to refine concepts and enhance both creative and technical precision.
OUTCOME
Waterscape strengthened my ability to translate conceptual inspiration into structured, visually compelling fashion designs. The project enhanced my skills in fashion illustration, digital rendering, and fashion graphics, while providing a clear framework for developing cohesive collections with attention to mood, materiality, and detail.
